Each fall we offer CERTIFIED ORGANIC LAMB for sale.  Our Icelandic  lamb is totally GRASS FED, no grain or other supplements.  Of course, no antibiotics, conventional dewormers, or growth hormones.  We offer lamb by the whole or half animal.  Cut to customer specifications and vacuum packed for your ease.  Contact us for more details.

Icelandic Wool Fleeces

Wow, this girl's fleece is big and beautiful.  Heavily skirted it weighs in at 3 lbs.  11 oz.   This is a black fleece with slight silvery tones to the thel and the tog is black with lots of warm grey silvering and very long.  Gorgeous!  As you can see, this fleece snared a second place ribbon in the long wool category at the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival.  A pretty impressive score of 78 points out of 80.

Icelandic Yarns

Our light lopi style yarn is a single ply yarn of heavier weight.  Light lopi yields about 400 yards per pound.  This is a farm blend of light and dark taupey browns.  This yarn has about 15% llama for added softness.  Available as 8 ounce skeins or we can divide it into 4 ounce skeins for half the price.

Icelandic Roving

This is absolutely beautiful roving that is a dream for hand spinners.  It is in nice narrow strips (like flattened pencil roving).  The color of this roving is wonderful, a lovely light/medium brown with some slight grey tones running through it.  Offered in 8 ounce bumps.

Icelandic Wool Felting Batts

Fiber that is collected at the output of the carder in the form of a batt.  Useful for felting, quilt filling, and some handspinners prefer their fiber in this form.  We currently have batts available in a very dark greyish brown color.   This is very high quality fiber that is quite soft.  Icelandic fiber is highly sought after by felters, as it felts very easily, both for wet felting and needle felting.  Picture coming soon.   Available by the ounce.

Icelandic Wool Fleeces

This is a lovely moorit fleece.  We love the mixture of lighter honey tones and the darker milk chocolate tones.  Jane's fleece is wonderfully crimpy.  Plenty of thel.  Good enough to earn a second place finish in the medium wool category at Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival!!!  Heavily skirted.
